March of Dimes
Now more than 20 years strong, Farmers’ partnership with the March of Dimes began with a dozen walkers in Simi Valley, Calif. This year, we’re kicking off our fundraising by donating to the March of Dimes for every birdie, eagle and hole-in-one scored at the Farmers Insurance Open during tournament play on Jan. 29 and 30. Last year, we donated over $160,000 at the event, and we hope to do it again in 2011.
The Farmers Family members have an outstanding record of volunteer service, contributing their time, energy, talent and financial resources to helping babies. We also created Be a Hero for Babies Day® to draw attention to the important work of the March of Dimes and to focus our efforts in one big day, raising $2.65 million in 2010. Our next Be a Hero for Babies Day® is June 29, 2011.
